Waiting for God

Tracey Rose's artistic investigation is concerned with the role of blind nationalism and religious dogma, using her own country as a starting point but expanding this to encompass the world and human condition within it. Working with performance, often for the lens of a camera, Rose places her body at the centre of her practice, inhabiting the roles given to Africans, to African women, and to women in a male dominated world, swallowing stereotypes whole. On from 22 February to 17 April 2011.
